Update:  I am back working at our local paper.  Last fall the editor quit, and they haven’t found another.  I’m there full-time since Jan., and eventually I will become the editor because there isn’t anyone else willing to do it.  It’s exciting, but I know I have quite a lot to learn, so it’s scary too.  [...]
